So Tired
Last night I went to boxing and it seemed like a normal day. Sam, my trainer, took pictures of us for the show he's putting on in June. He's spending a lot of money for advertising this one, we are all gonna be on the radio, news, newspaper, and he's gonna get a lot of posters made so we can put em up all around town. Anyway the pictures he took were to be used to advertise his local boxers that will be fighting in that show. Hopefully the pictures he took of me weren't that terrible. After he took the pictures of us he called me into his office and asked me when I wanted to fight. Naturally I said I want to fight as soon as possible, so he showed me a list of all the upcoming fights and I asked him to place a call for a fight on the 17th. Sam called and reached someone and left his number for the event coordinator to call him back (he left for Easter holidays and he will be back on Tuesday) so when he returns I will know if I have a fight on that day. In the meantime Sam is making me train as if I have that fight so I had to do 11 rounds of sparring! Since amature boxing is three 2 minute rounds with a minute rest in between, Sam made me do eight 3 minute rounds with a 15 second rest in between, than I had a 3 minute rest than went back into the ring for three hard sparring rounds. I did really well but when I got out of the ring and when the adrenalin wore off I could hardly walk, my legs were killing me because of the shin splints. I have to weigh 165 for this fight, and right now I'm 168 so it's not that bad of a weight cut. hopefully the shin splints heal up soon so I can start running again, Especially since this weekend is Easter and my birthday. I'll probably gain a few pounds from the turkey and my cake. Oh well I don't care what Sam says it's my birthday so I'm gonna eat some cake.
